I have always loved animals & decided to
dedicate my life to them at only 5 years old.
After many trials & a full comedy of errors,
I completed the Vet Nursing Program in 2019.
I passed the Vet Technician National Exam.
And lastly, I became licensed in DE & MD.
Unfortunately, during the same week,
I was in a car accident that left me with
one of my own "wings" broken.
While working in practice during COVID,
more surgeries and hospital stays occurred.
Ultimately, it left me with both "wings" broken.
Given my resulting physical disabilities,
My life-long dream became an impossibility.
Very sad, I know.
And yet...
I now have a completely flexible schedule
& can travel practically anywhere
there are Creations to be cared for,
while their owners are off creating
their own memories & stories,
that I wouldn't be able to do still in practice.
Provide veterinary-level care,
for a fraction of the cost, to all Creations
No matter the breed, age, or even if
they have any medical condition(s).
Once Upon A
Dream Come True...
Even if you don't know Greek mythology,
most people still know about the story
of Icarus & his quite literal downfall.
With wings of feathers & wax, melting apart,
because he flew too close to the sun.
And so, he fell downward to an early grave,
instead of to his freedom, out of hubris.
Very sad, I know.
And yet...
When it comes to having your own
dream turn into a Greek tragedy;
I can relate deeply to the Story of Icarus.
&
The reason I refer to them as Creations?
Partly from Icarus' story,
his father, a renowned Athenian inventor,
created not only their wings to escape, but
sails, life-like statues, carpentry tools, &
most notoriously the Minotaur's Labyrinth.
Partly from 'All Creatures Great & Small'
by James Harriot. Though I never shared in
Harriot's belief of being God's creations,
my childhood dream turned to veterinary.
Yet mainly for all Creations, great & small, whether of fur, feather, or scale,
I'll be devoted to their care & well-being.
A lot of myths have resonated most with me,
but no matter which god(s) or lack thereof
that you believe in;
I will respect you, your Creation(s),
& your home as if they are my own.
